Work week

It's saturday. Thank god it's saturday. That means I made it through friday... Don't get me wrong for I do love fridays.

It's just that I'd been working on my assignments since saturday... and every night since that saturday were used to do work til the early morning and then I'd get up in the afternoon and continue working...

The reason for this bizarre work & sleep pattern was I was trying to meet the deadline for two project, which safe to say I managed to complete... I had the flash game's deadline on thursday and the 3d works on friday... It was madness... Not perfect but above borderline pass... I hope.

that's the link to the game... it's not perfect and has a few bugs but it's main objective is there. i know most of the bugs since I was the one that coded it... the graphics are done by me so yea...

Didn't help my cough get better since I couldn't get enough rest... Thanks to those who told me to rest since it meant you obviously cared for me. [hugs] That's why I love you guys. So yea... I'd taken it easy on friday and today... (Watched some anime and playing wedding dash~! It's so fun~!) Don't really know if that's a good idea but my body would break down if I didn't.

Will be back to working on them assignments tonight and Sunday... Still wondering if I should go out today... ~_~ Until next time, Cheers~!

Saturday (19/04/08)

One, Two, Three and suddenly I find myself with the weekends... Love the weekends and all but hate it when it ends the holidays... Slacked in the beginning and dragged out in the end... How "wonderful" can my life be with still all the work not done yet...

On friday, I was invited to a BBQ party and then I got dragged aong to go clubbing... Went to Docklands pub called fix. Tried a tequila shot... It was bitter... but I enjoyed the lemon (that comes after the drink) The night was 13 degrees. Reached back at 4am...

Only to wake up at 10am to be dragged out for lunch... Since I had to eat anyway, I thought it would be the simple lunch and go home... how wrong I was. Yoong Yoong was the one that managed to talk me into going to have lunch... We met Man Yee at Prahran's japanese restaurant. Outside the restaurant, there was a pole dancing demo... I was like okkkkkkkk.... Random much to see this sort of this during lunch hour.. That aside, I was guilt-ridden into going to the city with them. Yoong Yoong got Man Yee to buy a daily pass instead of a 2-hours one...
Had to accompany them to the city since Jaslyn went out and had the housekeys (Jaslyn and Man Yee are housemates) So much for going back and doing work... Someone up there really doesn't want me to do work.
Since I was dragged against my will, I may as well take photographs along the way. {Church in Prahran}

It was rather sad that the sky wasn't blue enough {the kind that I love to photograph} [Yoong Yoong]
In the city, I spotted this car... promoting red bull. Interesting...
What else can I find it the city I wonder...
Moving around in the city's easy with the public transport system.

Got off at Docklands (yea... I know that this was the area I went for clubbing) {Channel 7 TV Station}
But this was the tourist side of docklands {the bay and the westgate bridge}
I had taken the city circle tram (the red one) to get here. It's free to hop on these trams so it's cool.
What's interesting about Melbourne is that there are artworks scattered around for people to see. Like this one called "Cow on Tree".
I don't really know the name of this structure but I enjoyed the dynamic flow of it.
I was rather surprised to see a guy fishing at docklands... I guess where there's water, there's fish?
Look~! I'm going to show you the front angle of Flinders Station~! Hahaha~! This building is just super fun to take~! Sorry if I keep bombarding you guys with Flinders thing and Flinders that.
We had to wait at Flinders for Jaslyn to join us... So that meant more photography for me..
Near Flinders were the federation square and churches. I thought it was interesting that have a church smack in the middle of everything.
Hmmm... Jaslyn came and we made our way to Smith St. I was like "again?". I got dragged with the "let's bond some more" excuse...
I now understand peer pressure... [sigh]
It was hard for me to take photographs and rush to Smith St (it was 3.40pm and everything closes at 6pm)
If you look closely, one's a horse and the other's a winged pig... Again I don't know what it's about but I thought it was interesting.
The arts movement here's good. I seriously enjoy the many lil things to take {this sculpture is 3 businessmen}
The city's nice and busy with locals, tourists, entertainers and artists like this one. Graffiti artists. Hehehe~!
I took this photo was to show you the street cleaners. I'd like to drive that around... [drive drive, swish swish, clean clean] hehehe~!
So yea... we reached Smith St at 4pm... Not interested in looking at the clothes... The only one I want is the winter coat.. Which I really should get. {I want the pastries~!!}
But they don't have my size here. It's a sign to lose weight but give me time la... [sigh]
There was a queue waiting to get into the Nike shop.... how scary is that... but then again, everything in the store was 40% off... I didn't buy anything and I didn't get any instructions from anyone to get anything...
I enjoy shopping for books, anime, movies, hardware, food, gifts but clothes, shoes, bags aren't as enjoyable... maybe when I get into shape, I'll change my tune... [shrugs]. I really ought to get enough sleep. Just found out lack of sleep weakens your immune system. I guess I should know that important info but I gave all my biology back to Jasmindr... not that I got a lot from her anyway. Until next time (I hope there's a next time), Cheers~!

Town Hall, Desserts & Lil Treasures

Hmmm.. I'll just keep this post as short as I can and photo spam all the way.

I had this deliciously sinful cheesecake and ice cream for dessert. Dinner will be on me next time, Su Jin dear. Thanks~!

Even if I'm here, I still buy books (just not as much). Reading this one at the moment...

If you're interested, this is how my laptop desktop looks like... Though I change the desktop image almost once a week... heheh~!

On my table, I put lil pretty things.

Ahh~! Seashells. Makes me want to go to a beach... Cheers~!

Just a post...

11 April 2008
Hey there. I'm on another 1 week break (midterm break) but I'm totally swamped with work / assignments... The stress is on. Think that explains how I actually lost my voice... It was bizarre. I didn't panic since I knew a friend who lost her voice very often... Had seriously comtemplated that skip all of friday's classes (I did for the morning one) but I went for the 2nd one.

It was group based and I had to use my creativity on how to communicate with them. Of course, your usual pen and paper but I used body language as well (pointing & grinning). Hmmm... maybe due to the reason of not sleeping and one too many coffee would be the reasons as well. Don't worry about me. As my pet bro says "What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger." [nod nod nod]

Now for some photo spamming.

These two photos are the view I see everyday (Almost everyday) when I wait for the elevator to come. I live on the 5th floor and the stairs are only for fire exits.

Oh, I got a chance to use my friend's (Jiew's) new camera and it was so coolz~! The price however will kill me... AUS2000...
Using Jiew's camera I took some shots. Photos of my 3D group mates and lecturer. This pretty girl here is Naomi.

This one's Meredith. She doesn't like having her photo taken.

And the boys of the group, Peter and Jiew (hehe, all I could take was his shoulder). Only Jiew (he's Thai) and I are Asians.

And lastly, this one is a photo of Steve, my maya lecturer. He's a good teacher and passionate about maya.

Oh, something random thrown into the mix. Sarah gave me a doll before I came to Melbourne. My only comfort object. Her name's Hester (Did some research and it means 'star' and is of Greek Origin). I took many shots of her... Had initially wanted to post all the photos separately but that'll bore you guys so I put them into one compilation instead.

12 April 2008
After a good night's sleep, my voice was back. Thank god. Su Jin had made laksa for lunch and invited me over for lunch. It was a lovely day so I thought why not.. (nah, the Laksa was the real reason why I dragged myself out of my room) [grin]

More clouds... [thinks of cotton candy]

So I was waiting for a train to head to the city... It was jam packed. Since I rarely go out during the weekends, I can't tell you if it's a normal occurrence.

I had to board on the next train (Waited only about 11 minutes)

I always have to take the train to college but often I don't have my camera on me...

So I was nicely snapping away while in the train...

I got off the train at Flinders' (I guess by now, that term should be quite familiar to you). I have to catch a tram to head to Su Jin's house.

Which means more photos from me on moving vehicles... This one's of Myer, high-end shopping mall.

This building is important... yea... it's a hospital but it's also what I use as a landmark to know where to stop.

The hospital and this seven eleven are opposite each other, so they're both the landmarks I use.

Needless to say (but I shall anyway), the Laksa was fantastic. I loved it, loved it, loved it. I had Su Jin, Kelvin, Nick & Su Ling for lunch mates. Hehe~! The watermelon was good too.

After lunch, I had planned to go on a city tour but I didn't go. The city tram was super packed... It was getting late (I only had 2++ hours left to explore)... So I made my way back home instead. (This shot was of outside the Melbourne Central). Hope you enjoyed the photos~! Until next time, cheers~!
